(I'll skip the male & female prettification mods, as there are tons of them. Let's see: the ones I *know* have installed (God, I hope my links are correct). (Things like the Nexus' NMM is anathema to my well-being.) Plus, many of the worthwhile mods have Nexus mirrors Bandolier - Bags and Pouches and Quest - Sea of Ghosts, for example. I've sort of given up on the Workshop, as I prefer manual installation to keep a tight reign on which mod installs what, exactly. But aside from that, the process itself is pretty much seamless and unintrusive, so I may stick with it for a while. It does so at startup, which means that if you're subscribed to a fair number of Mods, you've got a bit of a wait ahead of you before you can get the game started there's also always the chance of a bad update hosing the Mod (or even keeping you from playing). but that's sort of also what I DON'T like about it. There isn't a whole lot to do, and the invisible walls are a little obnoxious in a few places, but the author did a pretty good job on making the islands themselves and crafting quests you have to think about rather than simply following quest markers.Ī little word about Steamworks here: I do like how it automatically checks on your Mods on startup, and updates them without any need to go checking/downloading yourself. Quest: Sea of Ghosts- This gives you a boat you can hire near Solitude, with a small crew of (voice-acted) sailors, and a few islands in the titular Sea of Ghosts to visit. The dark bag and bandolier also look pretty good with the Nighingale armor. Craftable pouches, bags and bandoliers that increase your carrying capacity and can be worn over armor without a problem. Right now I've only tried two from Steamworks:īandolier: Bags and Pouches- This one's a must-have.
we all knew THOSE would be rushing out the door ) but there seems to be a few interesting ones out so far. Granted, the game hasn't been out a terribly long time and there isn't quite the plethora of selections yet (aside from nude Mods. So right now I'm tenatively wading out into the world of Skyrim Mods.
